Idid notrealizehow much I’ve missedhugging grandbabies.Little arms wrapped tightlyaround my neck and sloppywet kisses bring tears to my eyes.My heart needs this warmth of human touch.It is God’s gift of the circle of life.

Onebody,many parts.Eyes, mouth and nose.Ten fingers and toes.Each part has its own roleyet also part of the whole.Sometimes it moves in unison,but when divided there’s dysfunction.Imagine gestures flowing from the Soul.

Wordscan belike sharp swordscutting through stoneif spoken with rage,ignorance, or bias.Repeating rhetoric woundsthe hope of healing dialog.Feigning ignorance is no excuse Do not despair.  God is omnipresent.

Therehas tobe darknessto see the stars.And joy and sorroware both fully presentas part of the faith journey.There is sacred liminal spacein moments of ambiguityjust as night becomes dawn before the day.

WindSpirit,carry meto the Riverwhere living waterflows into the Divineso that my words and actionsbecome a stream of truth and lovein a world thirsty for unity.Jesus, fill my cup with grace and mercy.

Thejourneybeckons you.Dangle your toesinto the water.Ease into the riverthat carries you forward, thencrawl on the bank, dry in the sun,and close your eyes.  Cherish the quiet.Awaken to the wind calling your name.
