We are living in the in-between times…a time between what was normal and what will become a new normal. We are suspended in a time of forced isolation from family and friends caused by a virus we cannot see but that leaves visible devastation in its wake. We are nostalgic remembering what used to be and fearful of what lies ahead. What we thought would be weeks, turned into months, and now, as we head into a year of navigating a global pandemic, we can see light at the edges of the darkness.
Masks, social distancing and shutdowns will be vestiges of this time which may soon be behind us but not forgotten. New challenges bring us to the precipice of the deeper abyss of uncertainty. In the midst of relentless fatigue, we must not lose hope that we will emerge from darkness into light.
