Low Visibility

Thick,
dense fog.
A blanket
obfuscating
visibility.
Trusting fleeting glimpses
of pavement as headlight beams
bounce off this low nocturnal cloud.
Breathing sighs of relief once safely
tucked into the clear comfort of bright lights.
