Windows To The Spirit

The safety of the known is comforting.
Stepping outside the boundaries hard.
Contentment does not mean being
complacent and unwilling
to accept the risks of
fully living life.
To be content
allows the
soul to
soar.

I
long for
contentment.

Calm acceptance
of who, what, and where
I am at this moment.

To be content is to know
even though events and time will
change the course of history, my life
will have made a difference in the world.

I
resolve
to be more
intentional.
To listen for ways
to make a difference.
To care for those in my life
walking the journey beside me.
To give back with thanksgiving and joy.
Wanting nothing, I have all that I need.

If we do not have war, will we know peace?
If there is no evil, can there be good?
Imagine the world without strife,
immersed in endless glory;
the light of hope shining
through humanity.
Enlightening.
Aura of
divine
truth.

When
it is
said that the
ends justify
the means, is there an
implied acceptance of
ideological cost?

Reconciliation requires
give and take, sacrifice and promise.

Within consensus, new pathways emerge.

It
is very
important
to understand
we are the pebbles
of change in our own lives.

Desires become passions not
by linear paths…the circles
we create by our choices moving
outward from the heart open ways to change.

Be
kind to
someone you
don’t even know.

A smile, helping hand,
or just a friendly word
can make a big difference
in the outlook of a stranger.

Giving kindness also transforms us.
Icy facades built, melt; revealing warmth.

Fear
changes
those on whose
lives it intrudes.

Feelings are exposed,
edges raw by events
beyond our understanding.

Healing requires contemplation
of positions that may not be ours.

It’s easy to judge and yet not know truth.

How
do we
live into
God’s gift to us?

Greet each day with joy.
Love without conditions.
Forgive ourselves and others.
Reconcile all our differences.

Each step, one in the spirit journey;
amazed by the grace of the Savior’s birth.

Pray
one day
for world peace.
Tranquility
from relationships
reconciled can restore
some harmony in the world.
With time, patience and momentum,
like a pebble thrown into a pond,
peace can emanate from love rarefied.
