Dust.
Ashes
imposed to
remind us of
our mortality.
Reconciliation
through prayer and penitence
mends broken promises of faith
leading us to a time when our lives
will again reflect the light of God’s love.
Imagine you are flying through the air
with the greatest of ease, a daring
trapeze. Taking hold of the bar,
you jump from the high platform,
plunging into thin air.
Both hands must release
to catch the next.
Letting go
takes great
strength.
I
thought I
was over
it…the anger,
yet it still lingers.
It gets under my skin,
drives me completely insane.
I pray for healing to come soon
and perhaps then, the anger will fade.
Until, I quiet it the best I can.
Death
speaks to
each of us
in different
ways. Fear interjects
loudly, rife with remorse.
Reconciliation now
prepares us for passage of our
spirits into the holy kingdom
with hope to share in God’s eternal peace.
Once
alive
spirit-filled
hearts and kind souls,
now a façade of
genuineness. Sadness
replacing memories of
happier times faded into
obscurity by passage of time.
From ashes, new birth looms, forever changed.
Our
children
pass through our
hands so quickly
becoming grown ups
in the blink of an eye.
There comes a time when we must
step back and let them make their own
choices for we have finished our work,
having faith the seeds planted will grow strong.
The
power
of prayer.
God knows our needs
long before we do.
Prayer is the time that we
let God know that we need him.
A conversation with our hearts,
not words, merging in the heavens with
those of others, giving us inner strength.
God is the river in which we all flow.
An endless channel of energy
constantly moving and changing.
Chaos spawned in the churning
waters; we must reach out
to whom God sends us.
Be bold and share
with others
flowing
grace.
Risk.
Daring
to stray from
the safety of
what we already
know. So what if we fail?
Hard lessons learned from failures
can be more valuable than those
facades that validate our success.
Embrace the fullness born in discomfort.
The
world is
in chaos.
Melting glaciers.
Soldiers dying for
peace, distant…illusive.
Politicians playing games
for which there is no real winner.
Hope and faith pulled up by shallow roots.
God works through us turning chaos to grace.
