A
new day.
A fresh start.
Time to let go.
Release past burdens
as if they were dried leaves
into the wind of the past.
They have no power over me.
It is my time to live in the Now.
To be present within God’s abundance.
Trust
your gut.
Good advice
in the making
of life’s decisions.
Talking myself into
the answer probably means
it is not the right choice to make.
God guides me when I need to decide.
I will know by the signs of the Spirit.
What’s
behind
anger that
paralyzes
my brain, blinding me
to the raw humanness
which must surely lie beneath.
It’s not my job to fix the world.
Instead, look with grace and compassion
for the divinity within us all.
Words
can give
me comfort,
peace and solace
in a time of need.
Yet words can also hurt,
inflict pain and suffering.
Some words need to be spoken and
yet there are others best left unsaid.
A word spoken in love is a wise choice.
My
conscience
is the voice
which speaks to me
condemns and questions
my thoughts and decisions
because it senses and knows
what I should do, who I can be,
and calls me to act with dignity.
This holy presence is within us all.
Dreams
are paths
calling me
to take a chance,
to go outside my
borders or comfort zone.
The end may not be in sight.
The risk of not living the dream
is missing what wonders lie ahead.
I’ll never know if I don’t take the chance.
Change
coming
in waves which
overwhelm me,
cascading over
the walls of my senses
makes me uncomfortable
even when I undertake it
voluntarily or invite it.
Thankfully, God gives me firm ground to stand.
The
spirit
dwelling deep
inside the soul
is wholly divine
empowering the self
to accomplish great things and
to become the best one can be.
The beauty of this empowerment
is diminished only by human pride.
I
am not
an island
but there are times
when I isolate
myself from the outside
not allowing anyone
to penetrate my inner space.
It is time to throw open the doors
welcoming others to come on inside.
I
sometimes
hold onto
things for too long
hoping I will feel
differently later.
It is often my first thought
that rings loudest with clarity.
What comes after merely confuses.
And the angst from emotion adds nothing.
