Our
faith is
a threshold
which invites us
to leave fear behind
and to open the door,
trusting that God is present
in times that seem hopelessly thin.
God is within, restoring our strength,
turning anxiousness into well-being.
I’m
wrestling
with Anger,
an emotion
offering nothing
in return for sapping
my strength and my self-control.
Its darkness obscures the goodness
of everything else surrounding me.
Anger is Evil in a poor disguise.
I
do not
wear a watch
as the cadence
of each day and night
is now punctuated
by isochronal events
recurring like clockwork, keeping
time with the rise of the sun and stars.
The world still turns, yet, is forever changed.
I
am still
struggling to
get my balance
in this tilted world.
One minute I feel safe,
the next helpless and forlorn.
I know that I am not alone
and in so many ways, I am blessed.
I must not lose faith that the world will heal.
How
do we
do battle
with that which we
cannot see or hear?
There is no strength in fear
or anger that will save us.
Like hatred, these unseen villains
destroy any hope of unity.
Loving one another will restore peace.
In
the midst
of tumult
one can seek calm
by taking a breath
and practicing silence.
Listen in quiet stillness
to the sound of the blood flowing
to every corner of the body
revealing a path from chaos to Light.

safe, healthy,
loved and loving.
May you find stillness
to pause and surrender
to the deep desire to pray
for those souls unable to pray.
May the unity of the spirit
instill peace and compassion in your heart.
All
we have
is today.
Its fear and pain.
The demonstrations
of love and raw courage
with a focus on oneness
in the face of uncertainty.
We can worry about tomorrow
or lean into the Grace of suffering.
Be
grounded.
Take a breath.
Head over heart.
Energy flowing
from feet firmly anchored
to the earthly foundation,
connecting to humanity
in all places and throughout all time.
Find strength and power in God’s steadfast love.
Now
more than
ever, shine
light into the
darkness of being.
Illuminate the whole
not just corners where fear lurks.
Uncover dusty fields fallow
from neglect, reaping reborn passions.
Sow new seeds. Trust the Spirit to guide you.
