Rebuilding

Once
alive
spirit-filled
hearts and kind souls,
now a façade of
genuineness.  Sadness
replacing memories of
happier times faded into
obscurity by passage of time.
From ashes, new birth looms, forever changed.

    There’s grief here….and longing at the end? Interesting choice, “birth looms” … really makes me think.
